Culkin appeared in the sequel Home Alone 2, as well as other well-received movies such as My Girl, Richie Rich, and The Nutcracker.

The public has predicted a bright future in acting for Culkin. However, he surprised everyone with his alleged deal with his father that pulled him away from the spotlight. He did come back a few years later, but he hasn’t landed any significant role to date. He starred in Will & Grace in 2003. In 2004, he also starred in Brian Danelly’s Saved. Now he is the CEO of his company.

Maguire made a movie comeback with Pawn Sacrifice which didn’t do well in the box office. He also did the narration for Boss Baby, but it wasn’t enough to salvage his career. Diaz has appeared in numerous box office films such as There’s Something About Mary, In Her Shoes, The Holiday, and of course, the iconic Charlie’s Angels alongside fellow A-listers Lucy Liu and Drew Barrymore. The actress has probably secured some investments with her success in Hollywood and she can still make a lot more.

However, she made her final movie appearance in the musical Annie five years ago. Her fans were left disappointed with her decision, but the actress seems happy with her new simple life. After Cameron Diaz disappeared from the screen, the actress had married singer Benji Madden, became a mother, and launched a wine called “Avaline”. This made her feel calm.

The sudden collapse of her acting career bewildered fans and critics.

She was only able to participate in four productions after taking home her prestigious award. According to some insiders, changes in her attitude may have led to her downfall. The actress is reported to have way too much ego as she refused to be treated as an ordinary celebrity. Today, she is left out by Hollywood. Her fans may never know the real reason for her departure from the movie scene, but they will surely miss seeing her acting on screen.

His acting prowess has been given credit by several Oscar nominations which made him the male actor with the most number of Oscar nominations throughout history. Sadly, he made his final appearance in 2010 with the film How Do You Know?

His sudden decision to quit acting led to some speculations that he may be suffering in memory loss because of his age, which he later dismissed. On the other hand, Nicholson has had wonderful years in Hollywood and he deserves a quiet retirement. However, we still hope to see Nicholson appear in the movie again one day, but if he decides to quit forever, we also respect this. After all, this man gave us some of the greatest movies ever.

The actress also participated in another production called The Practice for which she received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for her performance.

Heigl was involved in numerous controversies that made her less appealing to producers. She accused her breakthrough film Knocked Up of being sexist while she complained that Grey’s Anatomy is depriving her of good material.

Heigl’s attitude cost her part of her investments in her acting career. Last year, when Heigl appeared in the legal drama Suits, her career seemed to improve. Despite his reputation and years of success as an A-list actor during that time, Myers struggled to recover from his downfall, and his previous investments in acting were overlooked by producers and movie makers. Although the actor doesn’t seem to be bothered by the scarcity of project offers, his fans still want to see more of him, which led to the speculations that he might return to the screen as Dr. Evil sometime soon.

With all of her achievements, anyone would think that the actress surely has hefty insurance throughout her Hollywood journey. Sadly, her current status proves otherwise as Sorvino continues to participate in low-budget films and land small acting parts. She was an aspiring star who had won several accolades for her acting back in the ’90s before Weinstein ruined her reputation. Judd allegedly declined Weinstein’s advancements, which urged him to take revenge by blacklisting her from any significant project. As it turns out, even that much credit came short for her to land significant roles throughout her career.

Meanwhile, fans will always remember her portrayal of Daisy Buchanan in the iconic film The Great Gatsby. After that, the actress seemed to slowly recover and break away from a dry spell as her career is starting to look promising again. The majority of Carey Mulligan’s wealth comes from being a movie actress, so it was quite a blessing that she started gaining projects again. Needless to say, she just secured her entire financial future with her gigs— and we couldn’t be happier with her career luck!

ALEX PETTYFER

Alexander Richard Pettyfer was born in Hertfordshire and raised in Windsor. He is a British actor and model who first captivated the audience with his portrayal of the cursed guy Kyle in Beastly. The public fell in love with the young dasher, even more, when he appeared in Magic Mike a year later, where he played charismatic blonde Adam. Playing the role cemented his Hollywood status, and he has since been considered one of the hottest male celebrities in Hollywood. He was about to make it big on the big screen, but he made an unfortunate mistake that permanently damaged his reputation.

Pettyfer has had some disagreements with co-star Channing Tatum, who was the main star of Magic Mike. The production crew was triggered by the event, which ended his engagement with the franchise, but Alex made some acting investments to revive his career with the psychological thriller The Strange Ones. Online figures for the actor’s net worth seem to vary. Even though determining his income is relatively simple, it’s more difficult to know how much Alex has spent— or lost— over the years.

JESSE EISENBERG

Jesse Adam Eisenberg was born on October 5, 1983, in Queens, New York, and was raised in East Brunswick Township, New Jersey. Jesse is mostly identified by being curly-haired and his fast-talking accent. The American actor rose to fame after his breakthrough performance in the film Adventureland alongside Twilight actress Kristen Stewart. The degree of his determination and acting talent earned Eisenberg another significant movie project, Zombieland.

His career seemed to be on the right path as he went on to receive numerous award nominations, including a BAFTA, Golden Globe, and Academy Award for Best Actor after his portrayal of Mark Zuckerberg in The Social Network. But Did you know that despite his iconic depiction of the Facebook co-founder, Jesse himself does not have a Facebook account? Shortly after the movie’s success at the box office, the actor took time off from acting. He later returned to play the role of Marcel Marceau in the 2011 film Resistance.

PATRICIA ARQUETTE

Patricia Arquette is one of her generation’s most overlooked and versatile actresses, with her expressive blue eyes, gentle, Southern-tinged voice, and an acting range that can take her from hysterically funny to frightening in seconds. It is known in her personal life that Patricia had a relationship with the musician Paul Rossi and that they had a son. She married actor Nicolas Cage in 1995, but they split after just nine months.

Given her good reputation, it might be very surprising to see the versatile and decorated star on this list. The actress enjoyed her share of fame in Hollywood as she had won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress after her appearance in the film 2014 Boyhood. She received a lot of credit from film critics for her performance, but her phenomenal recognition didn’t help her career any further. Since her win, Arquette only took part in smaller productions. Some speculated that her misfortune might be the consequence of her controversial acceptance speech where she accused Hollywood producers of being chauvinistic and unfair with regards to wages.

ALLISON MACK

Allison Mack was born in Germany but moved with her family to Long Beach, California, when she was just two years old. If you ask us, the actress had a great career and a long run in Hollywood. Allison is an accomplished dancer and singer as well, and she lives in Los Angeles now. She loves reading, going to films and plays, and spending time with her family and friends. Her first TV appearance was on the famous series 7th Heaven. The star was further established as a professional actress when she took the part of Chloe Sullivan in the 2001 superhero series Smallville, for which she received numerous accolades.

Sadly, Mack’s career was completely ruined by her decision to join a cult called NXIVM back in 2011. Her mistake also had an adverse effect on her personal life as the cult was reported to force women into intimate acts. The actress was later taken into FBI custody for trafficking and forced labor schemes.

RICK MORANIS

Frederick Allan Moranis is an actor, comedian, singer, songwriter, producer, and screenwriter from Canada. While he was still in high school, Rick started his career as a radio DJ, which led him to compose, produce and air his show.
The actor took part in several TV shows and huge movie projects such as Spaceballs, The Flintstones, Honey I Shrunk the Kids, and the iconic Ghostbusters.

Just like the rest of us, his fans were perplexed about how Moranis’ career fell into a downward spiral. The actor’s career plummeted slowly after the loss of his beloved wife to a terminal illness. He suddenly became a single parent to their two children. Understandably, his responsibilities to his family and his craft became too overwhelming for him to choose which one to prioritize. Moranis ultimately decided to leave the limelight, and with his investment money, he focused on trying to be a good father instead.

BILLY ZANE

Actor Billy Zane is best remembered by the public for his role as Caledon Hockley in the blockbuster romantic movie Titanic. Unlike his co-stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, the actor’s career didn’t seem to benefit much from the tremendous success of the film. In an unfortunate turn of events, Zane hasn’t landed any significant role after that, though he appeared in Zoolander 2 back in 2016.

Many would think that he may have lost his spirit and desire to become a successful actor, but despite the challenges in his chosen path, the actor worked hard to continue doing his passion and started taking on low-profile roles while working on smaller film productions. Another fun fact about this persistent actor is that he is also an abstract expressionist painter who has done various big-scale and small-scale exhibitions. We guess that creativity is really hard to stifle, especially if it’s in one’s blood. Thankfully, Zane has many creative outlets to pursue since acting does not seem to fare well with him these days.

ANDIE MACDOWELL

Rosaline Anderson “Andie” MacDowell has appeared in several productions after her debut role in Sex, Lies, and Videotape back in 1989, for which she won Independent Spirit Award for Best Female Lead and earned a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Actress. MacDowell continued to showcase her talent in films such as Green Card, Groundhog Day, and Four Weddings and a Funeral.

Unluckily, the up-and-coming leading lady encountered some difficulties throughout her career when scoring new roles became a struggle. The actress later made a few investments in taking roles with smaller productions. To further support her day-to-day living while pursuing her acting dreams, she ventured into modeling and worked for Calvin Klein as well as L’Oreal. Some of her most recent film features include The Beach House and Ready Or Not. To boot, the actress has also given a contribution to TV series, including the BBC sitcom Cuckoo and the Hallmark Channel family series titled Cedar Cove, which ran from 2013 to 2015.

EMILIO ESTEVEZ

Emilio Estevez rose to fame when he landed a big role in The Breakfast Club and St. Elmo’s Fire. Estevez came from a family of actors— all of whom probably contributed to his success in the acting industry. Did you know that he is the brother of Charlie Sheen and the son of Martin Sheen? Of course, when your immediate relatives become your mentors, you best believe that you’re given full time and attention to bettering your craft. Miserably, the degree of his popularity rapidly declined throughout his career.

Because of this, the former ’80s cult classic icon needed to find other means of sustenance and work. This led him to start working behind the scenes as a director ultimately. His directorial debut in the 1986 production of Wisdom received mixed reviews from movie critics. Currently, Estevez has been directing a few episodes of Cold Case, Numb3rs, CSI: NY, Close to Home, and The Guardian.

SEAN CONNERY

Legendary actor Sean Connery has been missing in the Hollywood limelight for quite some time now, and his fans are puzzled by his disappearance. Throughout his career, the actor had received numerous accolades, including an Academy Award and 3 Golden Globe awards. In fact, Connery was the first actor ever to play the role of James Bond. He went on to star in a total of 7 James Bond movies.

Sadly, in 2003, he announced his retirement after wrapping up his final performance in The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Later in 2006, he was awarded the AFI’s Lifetime Achievement Award. He confirmed his decision to retire for good during his acceptance speech. Just this October of 2020, people were taken by storm after it was announced that the veteran actor has passed away peacefully in his sleep. In the middle of a year that has brought a lot of sadness and misfortune globally, the unfortunate news struck both fans and Hollywood personalities alike.

He was given a lot of credit for his performance, which led to a series of supporting roles in major projects such as Blue Streak, The Nutty Professor, Con Air, and You’ve Got Mail. The funny guy is well-loved internationally with his sharp tongue for jokes that are tethered on real-life observations, all the while satirical but not offensive to the vast majority.

Being a stand-up comedian, Chapelle gained enough confidence to venture into hosting his very own TV show back in 2013. Despite its success, he decided to end the program after a few years. Later in 2016, the actor agreed to a contract with Netflix for each of his comedy release and went on to deliver four performances the following year. He has been quiet since his recent short appearance in the blockbuster hit A Star is Born.

Actress Lark Voorhies became popular for her portrayal of Lisa Marie Turtle on the NBC show Saved by the Bell, for which she was nominated six times for the Young Artist Award. She took home the award in 1990 and 1993 for her performance in the show. Unfortunately, when the program ended, Voorhies also vanished from the Hollywood scene. According to reports, the actress spent the following years away from the limelight and made some investments in her other talent, which is painting.

As we all know, the lack of a steady public presence can only intensify media assumptions and generate absurd rumors. Such was the case for the former star, who filed a complaint against The National Enquirer after the media outlet indicated that she was struggling with illegal substances. There might be some subtle indications, on the other hand, that the actress wants to return to the industry as she has attended numerous premieres and red carpet events recently.

KARYN PARSONS

Karyn Parsons’ most memorable appearance is in The Prince of Bel-Air, where she portrayed the character of Hillary Banks from 1990 to 1996. The sitcom has been successful for a couple of years, and the actress had a great run with it. Karyn, however, did not participate in other significant productions after that. She slowly disappeared from the public eye and stayed hidden for a while. After some time, she landed a role as Toni in the single-camera sitcom The Job that ran from 2001 to 2002.

For her film projects, she is remembered starring opposite Damon Wayans in the 1995 comedy Major Payne. She had a few other films and appearances in other film and TV projects, including On Monday of Last Week, a short film in 2017. After nearly a decade of being away from the spotlight, the former actress currently enjoys her investment money by taking time to work on her charity organization, Sweet Blackberry. The institution focuses on educating children about African-American achievement.

GEENA DAVIS

Although, like most artists, she started gaining ground from modeling before she landed roles in acting. All her roles in the mentioned films were, at one point to the next, key in cementing her work as an actress in the industry.

Davis was able to establish a great acting career, and she also secured significant investments during her prime. The young star wanted to be able to go to school like other girls her age.

After years of absence from the film industry, she built a career in professional writing and published her own autobiography, Where am I Now? True Stories of Girlhood and Accidental Fame. Wilson may have walked away from the spotlight and fame, but her investments in Matilda lingered as the movie became one of the most iconic productions for kids.

RENÉE ZELLWEGER

Actress Renée Zellweger became one of Hollywood’s most famous actresses following her extraordinary performance as the main character in the 2001 romantic comedy Bridget Jones’ Diary. She also had notable films such as Cinderella Man, Miss Potter, and Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason in 2004 and Bridget Jones’ Baby in 2016. Zellweger hasn’t been active for quite some time, and her fans have speculated that she might have opted for early retirement to enjoy her investment money more privately. In 2019, however, she made a movie comeback with her portrayal of Judy Garland in the film Judy.

Richards appeared in a lot of TV shows, including Empty Nest, The Golden Girls, and Boy Meets World.

Everything seems to be going well for her as major productions continue to offer new projects for Richards. Sadly, her successful career that went under the spotlight did not make her stay in the industry. The former actress decided to quit acting and went on to pursue her passion for painting. She pursued a degree in Fine Arts and Drama and graduated with distinction from Skidmore College. Today she is married to an Irish immigrant and former soldier in Irish Defense Forces, and together they are raising their daughter, who was born in 2015.

Throughout his life in the limelight, Robert was able to work with numerous significant figures in the movie industry. He was most notable in his starring roles in the neo-noir crime film In Cold Blood and detective TV series Baretta.

After serving his country in the army, the actor dedicated his time and effort to perfecting his craft. Ultimately, what made her even more famous is her well-publicized relationship with fellow British celebrity Hugh Grant.

Back in 1990, she was remembered as the girlfriend of Grant after the actor became a hot topic in international media due to the massive success of his movie Four Weddings and a Funeral. Hurley escorted him to the film’s premiere wearing a controversial plunging black Versace dress, which instantly captured the media’s attention. Sadly, the couple separated, and she went on to make investments in her own family.

The Sprouse twins had a very successful career when the show was running from March 2005 to September 2008. When their project with Disney ended, both actors decided to pursue their studies at New York University.

Dylan and Cole Sprouse have lived a quiet life since. This all changed when, in 2017, Cole returned to the screen with his portrayal of Jughead Jones in the popular TV series Riverdale. He also appeared in the 2019 film Five Feet Apart. Dylan, on the other hand, also had acting roles, such as in the 2017 thriller film Dismissed and comedy Banana Split, although the projects weren’t as critical as her other twin’s projects. Anyhow, Dylan used his investment money to open a bar in Brooklyn.

Debra was also lauded for her performance in A Dangerous Woman, which gained her attention and awards internationally. Her other notable roles were in films Urban Cowboy, Legal Eagles, The Sheltering Sky, Betrayed, Rachel Getting Married, and Forget Paris.

Years of success in Hollywood might have taken a toll on the actress as she decided to take a break from taking on movie roles. The actress had a very triumphant career, and she received decent credit for her acting talent. Gellar went on to take home five Teen Choice Awards and earned a Golden Globe Award nomination. However, the award-winning actress decided to quit acting permanently to establish her own business. She is currently managing a company called Food stirs, which manufactures sustainable and organic baking products.

Gellar also started to focus on her husband, Freddie Prinze Jr., and their two children. She earned her degree in a very tough situation. It is good riddance that she manages to acquire a partial scholarship to study. She works to align her investments, earnings, and expenses because she is a competent entrepreneur. The sale of her cookbook “Stirring Up Fun with Food’ is also remarkable.

MATTHEW FOX

Matthew Fox is known for his portrayal of Charlie Salinger’s character on Party Five and Jack Shephard on the hit TV series Lost, for which he took home a Golden Globe Award. Fox was chosen by People magazine as one of the 50 most beautiful people in the world in the year 1996. However, Matthew Fox has been under the radar for quite some time as his last movie project was dated back in 2015. Throughout his career, Fox made a lot of suitable investments as well as bad ones. He has issues regarding the law, which possibly ruined his acting career.

Furthermore, he made it on the news when his house in Oregon suddenly went up for sale. It seems that the actor has no plans of coming back to acting. He seemed satisfied with what had transpired in his acting career and did not intend to go back. Perhaps he just got enough of show business and decided to be left alone away from it all.

JACK GLEESON

Who would forget this evil young king from Game of Thrones? Actor Jack Gleeson played Joffrey Baratheon’s role, one of the most hated villains in TV history. His participation in the show may have been well-regarded, but after his character’s death, the actor’s career seemed to have died with it. After his last appearance as King Joffrey in 2014, Jack Gleeson has not received any offer for an acting role. According to him, he wanted to give up acting to pursue his studies. He said in one of his interviews that he likes to be an academic, a philosophy lecturer.

On the other hand, he also conceded to the school’s idea and used his investment money to start his own theater company. He could not make up his mind, so it is best to have his investment money insured. Or better yet, Gleeson will have to hire a financial advisor to guide him in his solo magnanimous endeavor.

CALISTA FLOCKHART

American actress Calista Flockhart made it big in Hollywood during her prime in the ’90s. She rose to fame after playing the iconic title role in Ally McBeal. Following the successful show, Flockhart began working with Brothers & Sisters, where Calista Flockhart portrayed Kitty Walker’s character. However, she couldn’t land any significant project after that, and her career started to plummet. The actress continued to take on smaller parts in TV and film productions that somehow added up to her investments.

Currently, Flockhart is enjoying her married life to husband Harrison Ford and their son Liam. She does not have to be a big name in the movie industry. Flockhart has to be the renowned Harrison Ford’s faithful wife to avoid other marriage issues that will waste money on lawyers. They can make an excellent investment plan for the future and manage their money together without a financial advisor’s need.

ALYSON HANNIGAN

Actress and television presenter Alyson Hannigan scored a significant part in the long-running TV sitcom How I Met Your Mother. She earned a lot of credit for her performance on the show, which fueled her Hollywood career. However, after the show’s successful run, she has not been seen on the screen for new projects.

Alyson was not only known for her role in How I Met Your Mother because she was also a character of the main cast of Buffy The Vampire Slayer, playing as Willow Rosenberg. Although her fame was not the same as before during her How I Met Your Mother times, she continues to appear on various television shows, especially as of this year, where she appeared as a host of Girl Scout Cookie Championship and on one episode of the show Outmatched. Alyson Hannigan’s upcoming movie will be Flora & Ulysses, set to be released in theaters in 2021.

THE OLSEN TWINS

The last time we saw the Olsen twins on screen was in the film New York Minute, which was released back in 2004. Since then, the sisters have chosen to lead a more private life and pursue their other interests. The decision to move away from Hollywood came naturally for them and both were clear on the fact that they no longer had an interest in acting. Over the years, they also rebranded their public image.

From child actresses, they transformed into successful young women who were in charge of their own fashion empire. This includes multi-awarded labels such as The Row and Elizabeth and James. Their focus and talent at what they do helped the twins gain credit in the fashion industry, as well as a significant amount of fortune. They are estimated to have over $400 million in net worth.

SUSAN BOYLE

She may have started out as an underdog, but there’s no doubting the fact that Susan Boyle has come a long way since. We were first introduced to her extraordinary talents on the show Britain’s Got Talent back in 2009. On the program, she bravely faced the toughest of judges in the industry such as Piers Morgan and Simon Cowell. Surely most of you still remember her goosebumps-inducing rendition of the Les Misérables song, I Dreamed a Dream.

Boyle may not have won her season, but she became the most famous alumni of the competition. She gained international fame, selling over 25 million records around the world. Despite the degree of success she had received, it wasn’t without its challenges. Fortunately, the singer eventually found a balance between being a star and living a normal life. In fact, she still lives in their family home in Scotland!

SLY STONE

When it comes to rock and roll icons, Sly Stone is one of the most enduring. He is also one of its most enigmatic and creative figures. Stone’s unique fusion of rock, funk, and pop helped cement his legacy in the industry. However, his reclusive lifestyle meant that he was seldom seen over the years, beyond his appearances during the 1993 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction for Sly and The Family Stone. He also turned up for the 2006 Grammy Awards where he was given a tribute.

It was also this period that some of his struggles were revealed to the public, including the fact that he had been living in an RV van during a difficult time in his life. Fortunately, with the help of his lawyers, Stone was able to retrieve and secure millions of royalties, which had been kept from him.

ELISABETH SHUE

Audiences remember actress Elisabeth Shue best for her role in The Karate Kid back in 1984. Her role as Ali Mills in the film didn’t just mark her debut in the industry, but it also helped catapult her into stardom. In fact, she recently reprised the character in the martial-arts dramedy Cobra Kai, which is based on the original Karate Kid movies. That’s more than three decades since she first portrayed the character! Between then and now, what has Shue been up to? Well, following the success of The Karate Kid movie, she went on to star in a slew of other notable films.

For a while, she mostly received acting credits by portraying girl-next-door characters, but she also landed roles in Back to the Future II and IIII, Adventures in Babysitting, Hollow Man, Soapdish, and The Saint. You can catch more of the actress on the third season of Cobra Kai!

MELISSA GILBERT

Melissa Gilbert began her Hollywood journey as a child actress and made a name for herself as Laura Ingalls Wilder in the acclaimed series, Little House on the Prairie. It was during this period that she landed a number of other memorable roles, including parts in the films The Miracle Worker and The Diary of Anne Frank. Gilbert was able to transition this same level of success into adulthood, finding plenty of work when it came to television shows and films.

After making considerable contributions and investments in the industry, Gilbert decided to take more of a backseat role and began reducing the amount of work she accepted. She also later became the 26th President of the Screen Actors Guild and was in office from 2001 to 2005. Most recently, she was in an Off-Off-Broadway production of My Brilliant Divorce.

PAM DAWBER

Pam Dawber has had many memorable roles over the years, but none more so than the credit she received as Mindy McConell in the show Mork & Mindy. The program was on air from 1978 to 1982 and helped turn the actress into a household name. This was followed by a lead role in My Sister Sam, in which she played Samantha Russell. Before she was an actress, however, Dawber started out as a model. She even appeared in a number of TV advertisements for brands such as Neet, Fotomat, Noxzema, and so on.

It was in 1977 when she first got her taste of Hollywood, after auditioning for a role in Tabitha. In 1987, she married fellow actor Mark Harmon. Together, they have two sons; Seam Thomas and Ty Christian. The former has keenly followed in their footsteps and is an established actor as well.

BARBARA EDEN

Whenever someone says I Dream of Jeannie, it is likely that they are referring the actress most associated with the role, the iconic Barbara Eden. Prior to starring as the beloved genie, however, Eden was a semi-regular cast member on shows such as I Love Lucy, Highway Patrol, Crossroads, Gunsmoke, The Andy Griffith Show, Saints and Sinners, and The Rogues, among many others.

It was in 1965 when she was offered the role in I Dream of Jeannie. The program was on air for five years and had over 139 episodes. Eden was on board from the beginning to the very last scene. Her success continued even after the program, though she eventually chose a more private life later on. Thanks to her excellent money management, she was able to do so without worry. In 1988, she was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

LORETTA SWIT

Loretta Swit started her career in 1969 with guest roles on shows like Mission: Impossible, Hawaii Five-O, and Mannix. It would take her a few years to get a foothold in the industry, but the wait was certainly worth it. In 1972, she was cast as Major Margaret “Hot Lips” Houlihan in the widely popular series M*A*S*H., a comedy set during the Korean War. Swit was not the first actress to play the role, but she helped make the character become one of the most memorable.

Thanks to the success of the show, Swit also got to enjoy a fruitful career in Hollywood. She was in the shows The Love Boat, Bonanza, Gunsmoke, Win, The Muppet Show, and Hollywood squares. In 2017, she published SwitHeart: The Watercolour Artistry & Animal Activism of Loretta Swit. Since then, she has been living a more private life, free from worries about loans and other financial woes.

JEANNE TRIPPLEHORN

Like many successful actors and actresses in the industry, Jeanne Tripplehorn also got her start in theatre. She appeared in a number of plays during the early nineties, including a production of Three Sisters by Anton Chekhov on Broadway. She later transitioned to film, following her role in Basic Instinct. This helped open the door to further opportunities in Hollywood. Over the years, she delivered memorable performances in the shows Big Love as Barbara Henrickson, and on Criminal Minds as Dr. Alex Blake.

Tripplehorn even received an Emmy nomination for her role as Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis in the 2009 film, Grey Gardens. Her movie and TV credit may not be as lengthy as others on our list, but she certainly made every role memorable. The actress’ most recent role was for the 2020 miniseries Mrs. America, where she portrayed Eleanor Schlafly.

LINDSAY WAGNER

Actress Lindsay Wagner is best known to audience for her role in the television series, The Bionic Woman. Her role as the iconic Jamie Sommers didn’t just catapult her into the spotlight, it also helped pave the way for more women in the genre. For her performance, Wagner won her first Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Dramatic Role. Fun fact: did you know that the Jamie Sommers’ storyline was meant to end during season 3 of The Six Million Dollar Man, but people’s response to her “passing” was so overwhelming that the production company ended up giving her a spin-off series instead?

Wagner continues to act at present, even trying her hand at voice work for video games. She has also made a name for herself in the realm of business, thanks to her investments in green and vegan living.

LEE MAJORS

When it comes to Lee Majors, it’s hard to pick just one role that helped define his career. For many, however, there are several performances wherein he truly shone as an actor. The first of which would be that of Heath Barkley in the series The Big Valley. Second to this is his role in the iconic The Six Million Dollar Man as Colonel Steve Austin.

While the injury that ended his college athletic career may have been quite a blow for Majors, it’s quite amazing to see what it has since led to. After all, he graduated with a degree in Physical Education and History and had been planning to be a football coach before Hollywood came calling. He has since slowed down a bit when it comes to acting, but you can’t keep a good man down for too long!

CATHERINE BACH

Catherine Bach made the character of Daisy Duke a pop culture icon and few will argue with the fact that she is the real gem in the series, The Dukes of Hazzard. Her rise to popularity, with thanks to the role, is nothing short of meteoric. One might assume that after the series ended, so did her Hollywood journey, but this couldn’t be further from the truth. She continued to star in a varied genre of programs, including a lead role in the drama series African Skies.

All she has achieved is certainly far from her early beginnings. Back then, while she was still a drama major at UCLA, Bach even had to make clothes for friends and theatrical groups just to supplement her income. Perhaps this is also why she’s excellent at investment planning. Outside of acting, Bach also manages a line of jewelry at Debenhams.

NANCY MCKEON

Some talents get their start in the industry at a very young age. For actress Nancy McKeon, she began by modeling baby clothing for a catalog. She was only two at the time, but her charm appealed to many. Together with her brother, Philip, the twosome appeared in quite a number of commercials. It was also Philip who later landed a role in a major TV program, prompting them to move to Los Angeles. Suffice to say, acting is in her blood.

Throughout the years since, McKeon has appeared in shows like Another World, The Secret Storm, and The Facts of Life. It was Facts and her role as Jo Polniaczek that gave her that much coveted big break. These days, however, she prefers a more private life and only appears in cameos. We’re sure she’s managed to save enough to never need loans in this lifetime!

LAUREN TEWES

Some actresses get their “big break” through a major TV or film role, while others find it through a Lipton Iced Tea commercial. Well, at least, that was the case for Lauren Tewes. Not only did it allow her to become part of the Screen Actors Guild Awards, it also gave her the opportunity to work with an agent. Those two things created more possibilities for her in the realm of television and film. In the beginning, however, it wasn’t all smooth sailing.

Fortunately, she later nabbed the role of Sharon Freemont in Starsky and Hutch. This was where she caught the attention of media mogul Aaron Spelling. Following this, she was cast in The Love Boat, Eyes of a Stranger, and The New Mike Hammer, among others. These days, she gets the most credit for her work in radio as part of the Imagination Theatre.

DEBBIE GIBSON

Singer-songwriter Debbie Gibson was the youngest female artist to have ever written, produced, and performed a Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper. Her debut album Out of the Blue, which was released in 1987, was certified triple platinum. This was followed by her sophomore release, Electric Youth, which scored the singer a double-platinum. It’s really impressive if you consider the fact that she wrote all of her singles that reached the top 20 of the Hot 100 chart. Alongside Bruce Springsteen, she was later honored by ASCAP as Songwriter of the Year for 1989.

At only 50, she has also made investments toward activities outside of singing, such as competing on The Celebrity Apprentice and Dancing with the Stars. While she has since slowed down her pace, it’s clear that her love for music and the stage is still as strong as it once was.

ROB LOWE

Considered one of the most well-known pioneers of teen stardom, Rob Lowe has managed to put his heartthrob degree behind him. His debut film The Outsiders catapulted him to fame, and he became the next big teen idol overnight. Lowe promoted his pretty-boy persona in the 1980s, starring in movies like St. Elmo’s Fire and Oxford Blues. However, he became embroiled in controversy, forcing him to take a quick hiatus from the spotlight.

For the heartthrob, the 1990s were a watershed moment. He started branching out into comedy, with a small part in Wayne’s World. Lowe went on to have a successful dramatic career after starring in various well-received cable TV shows before finding consistent popular and mainstream recognition on The West Wing. His consistency continued with primetime roles and TV movies and miniseries in which he always plays an earnest hero.

LISA BONET

Emmy-nominated actress Lisa Bonet used the iconic series The Cosby Show to begin her career in feature films. She tried to separate herself from her clean-cut all-American persona by starring in Angel Heart. She eventually went back to TV, working for Cosby, who had produced the smooth series A Different World. However, a child from her relationship with rocker Lenny Kravitz pressured her to leave the show after the first season.

She lived the next decade attempting to re-enter the scene through direct-to-video releases and TV guest appearances. At the turn of the millennium, she reignited her career to a modest degree with supporting roles in major films such as Enemy of the State and Biker Boyz. Bonet then earned a comeback to television in the Life on Mars, and the actress continued to star in flicks together with her husband Jason Momoa. Anyone who loved her as a Cosby kid keeps seeing her beauty that struck a chord in audiences 20 years ago.

JANET JACKSON

Janet Jackson shed her status as “Michael’s little sister” when she became one of the most prominent performers of the late twentieth century, thanks to her inventive urban pop style, revolutionary videos, and ground-breaking choreography. She became one of the most influential pop icons of the 1980s after her breakthrough album Control, followed by a string of albums that were somehow better than the one before them. Her image moved seamlessly from one platinum album to another, projecting strength and freedom to an admirable degree.

Her discography’s most extended break was full of professional involvement and significant life changes. Even though Jackson didn’t launch another record for seven years, she was able to retain her status in the early 2000s by maintaining outstanding quality management and stylistic innovation. Her songs have consistently set or held up with modern R&B trends, as evidenced by a 30-year streak of Top 20 R&B singles.

CYNDI LAUPER

Cyndi Lauper became a breakout star in 1983, thanks to her catchy songs and eccentric style. Her debut album She’s So Unusual made her an instant phenomenon. Spawning two big hit singles, it elevated her to Madonna’s level as a symbol of trendy female empowerment. Her work remained diverse, but with A Night to Remember and A Hat Full of Stars, she took more control of her songwriting and tackled serious topics that would have been beyond her reputation a decade ago.

Lauper was an official celebrity after achieving mainstream success, but she found it difficult to sustain her popularity at the same degree. After her hiatus, she retreated to the studio for a series of pop standards that received positive feedback. She welcomed the 20th century with a trail of albums and awards. In 2013, she went on tour to commemorate the 30th anniversary of She’s So Unusual, which was also the year the album received a deluxe edition, and continued making TV appearances.

BROOKE SHIELDS

Brooke Shields made her mark on the fashion industry when she featured on the cover of Vogue at 14, making her the youngest fashion model ever to grace the cover. She later sparked outrage by starring in a Calvin Klein commercial later that year.

Shields was one of the most well-known faces in the world by the age of 16. She was a popular and often contentious child actress in addition to her unparalleled modeling career. Her first significant movie role was in Pretty Baby. Despite numerous personal and professional challenges that would have deterred even the most dedicated performer, Shields etched out a lengthy and lucrative career as an artist. Shields is still in the spotlight, although she is primarily retired and has enough investment money to stop working for the rest of her life. She spends her time raising her two kids and doing a lot of volunteer work.

TONY DANZA

Tony Danza became a true instant star thanks to his performance as the good-natured cab driver in the classic series Taxi. After multiple unsuccessful attempts to win a title shot, he gave up boxing and concentrated on acting. He started appearing on the comedy series Who’s the Boss? It seemed like the right decision. Danza gained enough credibility due to these two investments and became an executive producer for his own production company, which resulted in a slew of programs and made-for-television films.

Danza has continued to work in films and television, most recently co-starring in the Netflix show The Good Cop, in which he found his niche as a lead character. Danza worked on a new stage show called More Standards & Stories and lent his voice to the forthcoming animated film Rumble. We’re waiting for the chance of his return to his iconic series in this age of television revivals.

JENNIFER GREY

Jennifer Grey showed she could quickly move from diverse comedy to serious film, and a single movie, Dirty Dancing, entirely overshadowed her career. The chemistry between her and Swayze was palpable, and their compelling show of emotion helped make Dirty Dancing a considerable success. Sadly, 1987 and Dirty Dancing would be the pinnacle of her degree, since she went on to do a string of poorly received movies like Bloodhounds of Broadway and Wind.

Grey returned to the spotlight, at least on digital television, with a starring role in Red Oak and Grey’s Anatomy. It was the year 2010 that saw a revival as she competed on the 11th season of the TV program Dancing With the Stars. On the other hand, Grey eventually settled down in 2001, marrying actor and producer Clark Gregg. Together with their daughter, Grey seems to have put her Hollywood past behind her.

KIRK CAMERON

Kirk Cameron began performing when he was nine years old, while his first significant role came at 13 when he joined the ABC drama series Two Marriages. He achieved true fame and popularity when he appeared in the TV series Growing Pains. The series went on to be a big success and catapulted him to teen idol status. He appeared in many films at the peak of his career; he was also the recipient of many awards. He appeared in two Growing Pains reunion films, but his interests had started to deviate from mainstream Hollywood by then.

He chose to commit the majority of his investments to Christian service and ministry. Cameron isn’t in as many movies these days as a star of his stature is anticipated to be, but his marriage experience continues to attract crowds. The actor and his wife inspire couples to strengthen and inspire their marriages through the tour Love Worth Fighting For.

Kelly LeBrock became a fashion model when she was 16 years old. She was a huge success, promoting high-fashion brands such as Christian Dior and becoming Pantene shampoo’s endorser. When she became the go-to film-fantasy beauty in the 1980s, she quickly parlayed her growing popularity into an acting career. Her first appearance was in The Woman in Red, but her iconic role was in the teen comedy Weird Science.

LeBrock continued to appear in a series of film investments like Hard to Kill and The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. Following her brother Harold’s demise in 2008, the actress dedicated most of her time to the seriously ill. She served as a spokesperson for Club Carson, a non-profit dedicated to assisting children with cancer. Her most recent film was A Prince for Christmas, a made-for-TV Christmas film that aired in 2015. LeBrock has also starred on Hell’s Kitchen and in the docuseries Growing Up Supermodel in 2017.

LISA WHELCHEL

Lisa Whelchel rose to a degree of fame as a teen star thanks to her role as the rich teen Blair Warner on The Facts of Life. The show became a highly praised pop culture benchmark and lived on in reruns such as The Facts of Life Reunion. She earned a Grammy nomination for her Christian music album All Because of You in 1984, but after the series finished, she married a minister and became a stay-at-home mom. She also became a sought-after inspirational speaker and writer of parental and homeschooling books.

Adored by nostalgic fans, Lisa received a lot of popularity when she agreed to participate in the reality competition series Survivor in 2012. She showed a refreshingly grounded outlook on showbiz and created an impeccable balance between life and work, entirely at ease with her peculiar slice of 1980s pop culture immortality.

CLAUDIA WELLS

Claudia Wells rose to fame after portraying Jennifer Parker in the 1985 film Back to the Future. The preceding year, she starred in the tv series Babies Having Babies and the short-lived series Fast Times. She took a hiatus from acting when her mother was diagnosed with an illness, despite her career advancing on an upward trajectory toward celebrity success. Her involvement in charities, the most recent of KidsInTheSpotlight.org, was prompted by that tragic event.

Wells came back to acting in 2011 with a small part in the film Alien Armageddon. She had the chance to relaunch her character from Back to the Future in the same year, 26 years after her last performance. She also did a voice-over for Back to the Future: The Game by Telltale Games. The actress has over 50 credits in film, television, and theater, but she believes her actual on-screen acting career is still beyond her as she seeks out challenging roles that defy tradition and push the limits.

JASON PATRIC

Jason Patric is known for his powerful performances in the independent films After Dark, My Sweet, and Rush. He gained the audience’s interest in his twenties in films such as Solarbabies and The Lost Boys. As he started to pursue more character-driven storylines, there was no doubting his strength and purpose of intent when it came to his degree of commitment to his craft.

Patric eschewed his good looks and showbiz pedigree in favor of elusive reclusiveness and a devoted artist’s lifestyle. He also starred in actual historical films such as Geronimo and The Alamo. Patric continued to build on his promising start with notable performances in indie films such as Your Friends and Neighbors. He appeared in the movie Narc in the early 2000s, which earned rave reviews. He’s also an emblem for the “fathers’ rights” community, a branch of “men’s rights” that focuses on helping men in custody and separation cases.

JULIA ROBERTS

Julia Roberts kept Hollywood abuzz with her notable characters and her famous smile. Her outstanding performances and a trail of good career investments drove her to progress under the radar. She stepped away from the spotlight in 1991, appearing briefly in The Prayer as herself, before returning concentrated and victorious with 1993 hit The Pelican Brief.

Roberts rapidly became one of the world’s highest-paid actors, earning $25 million for a single film. She managed to sustain the production of projects that regularly topped the box office while being in the spotlight for a slew of high-profile and sometimes rocky plotlines. She marked the start of a new page in her career as she dabbled in her TV series, Homecoming, possibly bidding farewell to the genre that made her a superstar. Even though Roberts hasn’t appeared on screen since 2018, we can expect to see her star alongside Sean Penn in the TV series Gaslit in 2021.

REBECCA DE MORNAY

While two extreme roles cemented Rebecca De Mornay’s degree in pop culture history, the California native went to great lengths to demonstrate that her talents extended beyond parts that were purely dependent on her icy blonde appearance. Following her breakthrough performance in Risky Business, the actress had a prosperous year in 1985, as she landed a part in The Slugger’s Wife.

She also starred in two other successful films that year, both of which received Academy Award nominations. To cap off a good year, she starred in the music video for Sara by Starship, which reached the top one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. De Mornay was never one to sit on her laurels, worked tirelessly to establish herself as one of Hollywood’s most well-known actresses in the late 1980s and 1990s. The actress has proven throughout her 20-plus-year career that she can handle a wide range of characters.

JUSTINE BATEMAN

One of the ‘80s most likable stars, Justine Bateman, progressed from light teenage roles to more demanding roles on stage and cable television. She is best known for her role as Mallory Keaton on the hit sitcom Family Ties and got her first ample opportunity in the film Satisfaction. While Mallory’s character grew in depth throughout the series’ run, Bateman’s outside ventures showed more variety.

The actress landed a new set of roles in various TV shows, one after another. Her acting ability brought her a different element in the film industry, but she preferred to stick to supporting roles on television. However, she left the entertainment industry in the year 2000 to start her own clothing company. She also demonstrated her ability to write in addition to her investments. As a result, she wrote a script for the Disney television series Wizard of Waverly Place.

VICTORIA PRINCIPAL

The name Victoria Principal evokes the image of Pamela Barnes Ewing from the popular soap opera Dallas. She also made an appearance in films like The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean as well as Earthquake. Though acting wasn’t in her plans when she was a young, after being involved in a car accident, she switched to acting instead, which led to a profitable career.

Principal received a nomination as a Promising Newcomer for her performances on several films. She even appeared in Fantasy Island before landing her famous recurring role in Dallas. Though Principal has retired from the limelight, it seems that she went back to her love for skincare. Her investments on her company, the Principal Secret Skincare, are now worth more than a billion dollars. No wonder she prefers to be away from the limelight of Hollywood! With those kinds of earnings, she won’t have to worry about where her money will be coming from.

NICOLE EGGERT

Nicole Eggert became a household name as she suited up for the hit TV show Baywatch as Summer Quinn. It was her role in Baywatch that opened doors for her in the entertainment industry. She appeared in different shows after her stint on Baywatch, such as Sleeping Beauties, Submerged, Thank You, Goodnight, National Lampoons Cattle Call, Loaded, A Christmas Proposal, and Turbulent Skies just to name a few.

Eggert has since retired from Hollywood. What has she been doing lately, you ask? Well, she put some of her investment money on an ice cream truck, that’s what! Though she wasn’t able to get a taste of the silver screen, Eggert has made a good earning in her career. It seems that being away from the glitz and glamour of Hollywood suits her just fine as handing out ice cream to customers seem to be more rewarding for the actress.

KYLIE MINOGUE

Kylie Minogue is an icon in the music industry with her decades-long career. She had been acting when she was just a little girl in television shows in Australia. By the later part of the ‘80s, Minogue gained world-wide attention with the release of her single Locomotion. She went on to win numerous rewards and recognition which, to her credit, she rightly deserves even though she was underestimated by many while she was starting out in the music scene.

With several albums under her belt, Minogue has been proving her critics time and time again that she is here to stay. She has certainly learned how to change with the times while retaining her brand which makes her a highly versatile singer. Of course, it is not just in music that Minogue is quite known for, because it seems that she has a new project in mind which is making wine.

SARA GILBERT

Sara Gilbert is an actress, writer, as well as TV show producer who is best known for playing Darlene in the sitcom Roseanne. It was in this show that she gained attention from the viewers. Her recurring role also expanded to writing and producing for the show, which showed that she had the smarts and skills needed to make the program work for its target audience. She also got a degree in Yale while shooting Roseanne.

Gilbert also appeared as a guest in several TV shows including Welcome to New York, E.R, Will & Grace, The Big Bang Theory, and Hawthorne. She also created the popular show The Talk, which she also hosts along with other celebrities. However, she has just recently resigned from the show citing that her work schedule has affected her personal life. Perhaps being away from the limelight for the meantime can help her recuperate from her life in the entertainment industry.

LOLA FALANA

Lola Falana is a name that may no longer be familiar to the new generation, but it has resonated for many over the decades. It would seem that dancing and singing is in her blood as she had been performing since she was six years old. She didn’t finish high school because she wanted to pursue a career in show business. She worked in Harlem clubs until she was spotted by Sammy Davis Jr., who propelled her to the limelight.

Falana appeared in the Broadway show Golden Boy and later recorded her first single called My Baby. Her first film was A Man Called Adam and from there, she made a career in various Italian movies. She has also earned her first nomination at the Golden Globe Awards for her performance in The Liberation of L.B Jones. Though she had a stellar career, she lost some roles after being diagnosed with an illness.
